On of 14th September 2010, Koninklijke Zeelandia Groep B.V. has acquired Aldia N.V. by taking over 100 % of the shares. Aldia could not let such an opportunity for continuity and further growth pass by. In addition it will give both companies the opportunity to perform on a higher level.
Aldia is Halal certified. This will surely give new opportunities and customers.
Aldia has actually also the possibility to produce bake stable fruit fillings with ‘clean label’, which means that no declaration of E-numbers as ingredients is necessary anymore. All ingredients are natural.
Aldia and Electrabel have signed a contract for the delivery of Alp Energy which is electricity of renewable origin.
This guarantees that the energy is produced in hydroelectric sites operated by CNR (Compagnie Nationale du Rhône) and SHEM (Société Hydroélectrique du midi), Electrabel´s partners in France. Aldia shows a lot of respect for the environment and in this way the company hopes to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gases.
